JACKHAMMERS DONATE ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS TO THE
Local Service Organization Scores Big on “Winning Wednesday”
JOLIET, IL-The Joliet JackHammers are proud to help local non-profit organizations and fundraising groups through their “Winning Wednesday” initiative at every Wednesday regular season home game in 2009. With the help of the JackHammers Ticket Department, groups can pick a remaining Wednesday home game to book a group outing at Silver Cross Field. Groups can use their outings to raise funds through direct ticket sales. The JackHammers will also donate the proceeds of the 50/50 ticket raffle to the group that books the largest outing as well as give $1,000 to a randomly selected group after each “Winning Wednesday.” The JackHammers donated $1,000.00 to the Joliet Noon Lions Club as well as the proceeds of the 50/50 raffle at last night’s game.
“The Joliet Noon Lion’s Club really appreciates our partnership with the JackHammers,” said President John Simpson. “We both try to serve the community and consider them great partners!”
The JackHammers want to encourage local non-profit groups and other fundraising groups to come out to Silver Cross Field, enjoy a JackHammers game and raise some much-needed funds in doing so. The next “Winning Wednesday” at Silver Cross Field is Wednesday, July 15 at 7:05 p.m. against the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks.
