FARMERS INSURANCE PRESENTS THE 2009 NORTHERN LEAGUE FIELD OF ALL-STARS GAME IN JOLIET

JackHammers to Host One-Day Extravaganza on Tuesday, July 7 at Silver Cross Field

JOLIET, IL-The Joliet JackHammers will host the 2009 Northern League Field of All-Stars Game presented by Farmers Insurance on Tuesday, July 7 at 7:05 p.m. at Silver Cross Field. The game will feature the “East All-Stars,” (comprised of Joliet, Gary and Schaumburg players), in a game against the “West All-Stars,” (consisting of Kansas City, Fargo-Moorhead and Winnipeg players). Gates will open at 5:00 p.m. as the action will be preceded by a home run derby competition and on-field autograph session. The fun kicks off earlier in the day with a luncheon at the Harrah’s Hotel and Casino in Joliet at 12:30 p.m. The keynote speaker will be Chicago Cubs Vice President/General Manager Jim Hendry and the event will be emceed by ESPN Radio 1000 personality Bryan Dolgin.

They stepped up to the plate and made this event possible!”

The JackHammers will put tickets on sale to the general public immediately. The Silver Cross Field Box Office is open during normal business hours of 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and late through all home games. Tables are available for the All-Star Luncheon for $500.00. Voting for the all-stars will commence in a few weeks with ballots distributed to Northern League Managers, Broadcasters and Newspaper Writers. The final rosters for both clubs will be announced by the Northern League a week prior to the event.
