FLYERS WIN 3-1 ON WEDNESDAY
1B Freddie Thon (1-5) led off the Joliet second inning with a solo home run over the right field wall against Schaumburg RHP Dustin Glant (4-1) for a 1-0 Joliet lead.
The Flyers scored two runs in the 4th inning to take a 2-1 lead. 3B Vince Harrison (1-4) led off the inning with a strikeout and DH Felix Jose hit a double.
RF Victor Ferrante (1-1) hit an RBI double to score Jose. 2B Jose Valdez (0-2) then grounded out to first base as Ferrante advanced to third base with the out.
LF Jeff Dunbar (1-4) hit an RBI single to score Ferrante and make it 2-1
In the Schaumburg 6th inning,
Gehring pitched six innings and allowed three runs on five hits. He walked three and struck out two men.
Loose Gravel: JackHammers 2B Ryan Arcadia (0-1) was hit by a pitch three times on Wednesday night. He got hit in the 1st and 4th innings as well as the 9th innings. Flyers pitching hit four batters on Wednesday.
