Freedom’s “Fan Appreciation Weekend” starts Friday
Florence, KY – The Florence Freedom’s final regular season series at Champion Window Field starts this Friday, August 29th. This weekend is “Fan Appreciation Weekend” with great promotions every night!
During “Fan Appreciation Weekend” fans can win great prizes from local businesses including Hooters, Olive Garden, Sportsville Family Fun Center, Bruster’s Real Ice Cream, Pepsi, John Morell, Cincinnati State, Ashland University, Hoxworth Blood Center, Great Oaks, the American Red Cross, Wendy’s, and Xavier University.
Friday, August 29th is the final Insight Fireworks Friday presented by Rozzi. Immediately following the game enjoy a spectacular fireworks show! Gates open at 6:05pm, first pitch 7:05pm.
Saturday, August 30th is the last “Party in the Ballpark” powered by 96 Rock with drink specials and the music of Jack Trigger. Wendell, the Miller High Life Guy, is here to sing the National Anthem and fans can enjoy $2.00 16 oz. Miller High Life beer all night!
Saturday is also the Schulz & Sons Jewelers Diamond Dig. Four diamond items courtesy of Schulz & Sons Jewelers will be buried in the infield before the gates open. The first 500 women 18 and over through the gates will receive small shovels for the dig. After the game those women will head down to the field to dig for the diamonds. Gates open at 5:05pm, first pitch 6:05pm.
Sunday, August 31st is the final home game of the regular season. The game has an early start time of 1:05pm with the gates opening at 12:05pm. It is the last Kids Club Sunday with kids running the bases and a special autograph session after the game. Liberty’s X-treme Reading team members can also redeem their Reading Club vouchers on Sunday. Vouchers are good for students only.
Former Cincinnati Reds outfielder George Foster is also on hand Sunday afternoon to sign autographs with proceeds benefitting his foundation. The 1977 National League MVP will sign fans’ items for a $10.00 donation or sign his picture for a $15.00 donation.

The Florence Freedom are a member of the Frontier League, a 12-team Independent Professional Baseball League established in 1993. The Freedom play a 96 game schedule with 54 home games between late May and early September.
