GRIZZLIES WALK-OFF WITH SERIES WIN

SAUGET, IL-Michael Campbell hit a walk-off home run Tuesday night with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the Gateway Grizzlies to a 7-6 win over the Windy City Thunderbolts at GCS Ballpark.  The win gives the Grizzlies the series win.

Campbell's homer was his 10th of the year.  The solo shot was his second RBI of the night and he leads the team with 52.  He finished 3-4.

The home run capped a back-and-forth game that featured six home runs between the two teams.

Chris Pecora led off the bottom of the eighth inning with his second home run of the year to give the Grizzlies (32-31) a 6-5 lead.

Phil Hawke tied the game for Windy City (32-30) when he led off the top of the ninth with his 11th home run of the year.

Josh Horn homered to lead off the second to give Windy City an initial 1-0 lead.  Charlie Lisk tied the game in the bottom of the inning with his 17th long ball of the season.

Lisk finished the night 4-5 with the homer and three singles.

Coby Mavroulis (3-0) earned the win for the Grizzlies.  He threw just one pitch to get Mike Sullivan to fly out to end the top of the ninth inning.  Mavroulis was one of five pitchers for the Grizzlies.  Adam Revelette started, but left in the third with back spasms.  Edwardsville-native Shaun Siebert allowed three runs in 2 2/3 innings in his pro debut.  He struck out four.

The Grizzlies welcome the Traverse City Beach Bums to town Wednesday to start a three-game series.  Game time is 7:05 p.m.
