Two Roster Spots Are Open for Bidding Right Now on EBAY

 

JOLIET, IL-The Joliet JackHammers have opened up two roster spots for the upcoming Budweiser Legends Game between former Cubs and Cardinals Legends on Saturday, August 9 at Silver Cross Field in Joliet City Center. There is one roster spot open on the former Cubs team and one empty roster spot on the former Cardinals squad. Bidding is open online at ebay.com until August 2 at 8:40 p.m. Central time.

 

“This is a fan’s chance to put on a uniform, sit in the dugout and play next to Fergie Jenkins or Bob Forsch,” said the JackHammers Executive Vice President/General Manager Kelly Sufka. “This could be a chance of a lifetime for one lucky bidder!”

 

A full compliment of former Major Leaguers will be at the game on August 9. The Cubs roster features Baseball Hall of Famer Fergie Jenkins and RHP Lee Smith along with IF Bill “Mad Dog” Madlock, IF/OF Keith Moreland and RHP Mike Bielecki.  On the Cardinals roster, 1982 World Series winner Tommie Herr is scheduled to appear along with IF Ken Reitz, RHP Bob Forsch and LHP John Tudor. Winners will receive a roster spot in the August 9 game at Silver Cross Field, a locker, a full uniform with a jersey to keep, and the opportunity to participate in batting practice and play in the game.

 

The winners will also be invited to the post-game reception at Silver Cross Field. Transportation to the game and hotel accommodations are the responsibility of the winner.
