OTTERS WIN FINALE; AVOID SWEEP

The Evansville Otters avoided the sweep Friday night with a 7-4 win over the Gateway Grizzlies in front of 4,358 at GCS Ballpark.

The win snaps a 13-game winning streak for the Grizzlies over the Otters at GCS Ballpark.

Ryne Malone was 3-4 with an RBI in the losing cause.  Michael Campbell was 3-5 with three singles for the Grizzlies (18-18).  Ryan Saltzgaber was 1-4 with a pair of RBIs.

Erik Dessau (2-4) suffered the loss for the Grizzlies.  Dessau tossed six innings allowing five runs on 10 hits.  He walked three, but struck out a season-high eight hitters.

Ryan Bethel was 4-5, homered and added three RBIs in the win for Evansville (17-19)
