GRIZZLIES WIN FOURTH STRAIGHT
The Gateway Grizzlies defeated the Evansville Otters 6-4 Thursday night for their fourth consecutive win. The win moves the Grizzlies above the .500 mark for the first time all-season. Their record is now 18-17.
Mike Breyman paced the offense for the second straight night. Breyman hit a three-run home run in the fifth that put the Grizzlies up for good. The home run was Breyman's seventh of the year, and the 65th of his Frontier League career-moving him to second place all time in FL history.
Ryne Malone, Chad Rothford and Charlie Lisk each added RBIs for the Grizzlies.
Justin Lilly got the win for the Grizzlies. Lilly tossed six innings, allowing three runs on four hits. He struck out five. Zack Gray walked three batters in the ninth but earned the save, without allowing a run.
The Grizzlies are now just one game out of first in the Frontier League West Division.
