High School Student with Perfect Pitch

Winner to Sing National Anthem at Grizzlies Game

ST. LOUIS—May 13, 2008 —National City and the Gateway Grizzlies are proud to present the Perfect Pitch Challenge. The Perfect Pitch Challenge will allow one Metro East high school student to sing the National Anthem before the Grizzlies June 14 contest versus the Florence Freedom.

"Everyone sings in the car or the shower, and through the Perfect Pitch Challenge we want to hear the best voices in the Metro East compete," said Debbie Marshall, director of marketing for National City in Greater St. Louis. "This is a chance for one young singer to perform in front of thousands of fans."

Preliminary auditions will be held on Saturday, May 17 at 1 p.m. at National City's O'Fallon location. The branch is at 1385 N. Green Mount Road, O'Fallon, IL, 62269.

The five preliminary winners will audition on June 7 at GCS Ballpark. The contestants will be judged by a music professor from SIUE and the Gateway Grizzlies Promotions Director. The winner will sing the National Anthem at the 7:05 game on June 14.

Additionally, the winner of the contest will receive a prize package that includes four suite tickets to the June 14 game, an opportunity for photos before the game, a recording of the performance and an interview on Grizzlies radio network. The four runners-up will receive prizes as well.

The contest is limited to current high school students attending schools located in the Metro East. Further details are available by contacting any National City Metro East location.
