Florence Freedom and FOX19 Team Up to Broadcast games on the Web

 

Florence, KY –  The Florence Freedom are excited to announce a new partnership with FOX19 (WXIX-TV) for the 2008 season.  The baseball club and the station’s website are going to broadcast several Freedom games on the internet this season.

 

“We are excited to be partnering with the Florence Freedom and All Volunteer Cable One to give FOX19.com users – both in the tri-state and across the world – access to this up and coming local team,” says FOX19 Vice President/General Manager John Long. 

 

The Florence Freedom opened the 2008 season May 21^st with a sell out crowd of 3,944 and are off to the best start in attendance in the franchise’s history.  The organization is confident this webcast partnership will further enhance the team’s presence in the greater Cincinnati area.

 

“This is a new opportunity for us,” mentioned Freedom General Manager Kari Rumfield. “This webcast will allow us to reach even more families in the Cincinnati area, which we think will bring even more people to our ballpark this summer.”

The Florence Freedom are a member of the Frontier League, a 12-team Independent Professional Baseball League established in 1993. The Freedom play a 96 game schedule with 54 home games between late May and early September.
