JACKHAMMERS LOSE 12-11 IN 10 INNINGS
SCHAUMBURG, IL-The Schaumburg Flyers (3-3) took an 11-0 lead over the Joliet JackHammers (2-4) only to have the JackHammers tie the game at 11-11 before winning the game on a Joliet throwing error in the 10th inning for a 12-11 victory before 1,594 fans at ALEXIAN Field on Tuesday night. The JackHammers 2008 home schedule opens on Friday, May 23 at 7:05 p.m. against the Winnipeg Goldeyes for Harris Bank Opening Night at Silver Cross Field with fireworks to follow the game.

The JackHammers chipped away by scoring two runs in the eighth inning. Dorian Rojas (2-5) singled and went to second base on a single by Wally Backman, Jr. (1-3) Nick Prosise (1-5) hit an RBI single to score Rojas and Steve Garrabrants (1-4) hit a sacrifice fly to score Backman, Jr. and bring the JackHammers within nine runs at 11-2.
