2008 EXHIBITION SEASON DELAYED

Rained Out Wednesday in Gary; Exhibitions Begin Thursday in Rockford

 

Gary, IN-The Joliet JackHammers were set to open the 2008 exhibition season against the Gary SouthShore RailCats at U.S. Steel Yard but the game was cancelled due to wet field conditions. The game will not be made up in Gary. The JackHammers will open the exhibition season with a doubleheader against the Rockford RiverHawks of the Frontier League in Rockford on Thursday afternoon. The JackHammers 2008 home schedule begins on Friday, May 23 against the Winnipeg Goldeyes at 7:05 p.m. on Harris Bank Opening Night at Silver Cross Field.

 

The JackHammers will play exhibition games at Windy City of the Frontier League on Friday, May 9 and the Florence (KY) Freedom of the Frontier League on Saturday, May 10 and Sunday, May 11. The JackHammers will host an open exhibition at Silver Cross Field on Monday, May 12 for Jammin’ With the JackHammers with five dollars of every ticket sold being donated to the Joliet Noon Lions Club for projects benefiting the visually and hearing impaired. Tickets are on sale now by calling the JackHammers Ticket Office at (815) 726-2255. The JackHammers wrap up the exhibition season with a home game against Florence on Tuesday, May 13.
