INDIVIDUAL TICKETS TO GO ON SALE THIS SATURDAY!

2008 Individual Ticket Sales Begin April 12 at 10:00 a.m.

 

JOLIET-Come be a part of the fun this Saturday, April 12 at Silver Cross Field as the JackHammers celebrate the arrival of spring and the impending 2008 season with the annual 2008 Ticket Kick-Off Event from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Fans can purchase individual tickets and take advantage of a special opportunity for kids to run the bases starting at 10:15 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 12:15 p.m. and 1:15 p.m. The JackHammers home opener is set for Friday, May 23 against the Winnipeg Goldeyes at 7:05 p.m. at Silver Cross Field in the Joliet City Center.

 

“Our Ticket Kick-Off Event is a great way for us to begin offering individual tickets and open our ballpark once again this spring,” said Kyle Kreger, assistant general manager/ticket sales. “There will definitely be plenty going on and JackHammers fans of all ages should enjoy themselves!”

 

For every four tickets fans purchase on Saturday, they will be allowed to take five swings during a special fan batting practice session on the field. Batting practice starts at 10:30 a.m. and will run until 1:00 p.m. In addition to running the bases, children can enter a coloring contest to win tickets to a game on opening weekend and get free autographs from Jammer from 10 a.m.-12 p.m.

 

The JackHammers will also host the Pepsi Shoe Drive for Chicago’s Homeless Veterans on Saturday. Fans that donate a pair of shoes will receive a two dollar box seat ticket discount for every pair donated. This discount will be applied to a maximum of ten box seats.

 

The JackHammers will also hold try-outs for a child to be the public address announcer for two innings at the home game on Sunday, May 25 at 5:05 p.m. against Winnipeg. Children ages 14 and under may try-out for the position. The winner will receive tickets to a JackHammers game on opening weekend and be able to perform public address announcer duties for two innings in front of the home crowd at Silver Cross Field!
