ROWAN RADIO TO BROADCAST RIVERSHARKS GAME FOR 2008
40 Home Games to be Broadcast on Radio and Web
CAMDEN, NJ- The Camden Riversharks are proud to announce Rowan Radio, 89.7 WGLS-FM, as its radio partner for the 2008 season. This is the second season that Riversharks games will be broadcast on WGLS, as well as the Internet.
The station, which broadcasts from Rowan University’s College of Communication, will offer live coverage of the team’s Friday night home games on air and through streaming Internet radio. All other home games will be available exclusively on the Internet.
WGLS is a nonprofit station run by Rowan students and faculty. It has a potential audience of 1.3 million people throughout South Jersey, Philadelphia and Delaware.
WGLS broadcasted all Friday night home games on air and Monday and Wednesday home games online last season. They also aired the Riversharks’ Tuesday home opener and Independence Day game, as well as the first round of the playoffs against the Somerset Patriots.
“Riversharks games give our students a chance for real world experience during their time at Rowan,” Rowan Radio general manager, Frank Hogan, said. “This partnership makes a difference in South Jersey sports.”
“Returning to Rowan Radio makes a lot of sense for us,” Riversharks general manager, Adam Lorber, said. “Last year proved successful, and we’re happy to be back on WGLS for 2008.”

The Riversharks open the 2008 season on Friday, April 25th at 7:05 p.m. against the York Revolution. Individual and group tickets are on sale online at www.riversharks.com or by calling 1-866-SHARKS-9.
