Chris Armas to Announce Retirement Tomorrow

 

BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. (Monday, Nov. 12) – After 10 years of service to the Chicago Fire and 12 full seasons in Major League Soccer, midfielder and captain Chris Armas will officially announce his retirement on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 11:00 a.m. CT in a news conference at TOYOTA PARK. The 35-year-old MLS "original" and former U.S. Men's National team member will be joined by Fire President/CEO John Guppy, and Head Coach Juan Carlos Osorio.

 

The New York native finishes his career tied eighth overall in league games played (264), sixth in games started (260), and sixth in minutes played (23,027). He also represented the United States with 66 appearances, scoring two goals during his national team career (1998-2005).
