The RailCats finished the season by winning 12 of their last 14 games while going 19-6 over the last 25 games.  Winnipeg lost four of their final five games after winning 10 of the previous 13.

The RailCats went 5-7 in 12 meetings vs. Winnipeg this season, posting a 1-4 mark on the road.  The 12 games between the two clubs were generally low scoring games as Gary posted a .249 team batting average vs. Winnipeg while the Goldeyes hit .242 against the RailCats.

With the RailCats and Goldeyes meet in Winnipeg, Fargo-Moorhead will play in Calgary beginning Tuesday night in the other first-round series.  The winner of the Gary-Winnipeg series will meet the winner of the Fargo-Moorhead-Calgary series in the Northern League Championship Series starting September 11th in the North Division city.
