Evansville, IN – The Otters topped the Southern Illinois Miners tonight by
a final of 5-3 behind some clutch hitting and some sloppy defense from the
Miners. Evansville scored four runs in the fourth on three hits with four
errors helping out to provide the final margin of victory. Stephen
Obenchain picked up his first win as an Otter throwing six innings,
allowing three runs on eight hits, striking out two. The bullpen held the
two run lead for the final three innings with Jon Lewis picking up his
first save of 2007. Evansville will play the final game of the season
tomorrow at 3:05 against the Miners.
