
Chicago Fire Announce 2007 Media Game
Media Members Invited to Take Part in Scrimmage Following Fire Training
BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. (Sept. 5, 2007) – The Chicago Fire announced today that the 2007 Media Game will be held on Friday, Sept. 14, at TOYOTA PARK. Chicagoland media members of all skill levels will have the opportunity to match up against their peers, as well as play side-by-side with Fire President/CEO John Guppy and Head Coach Juan Carlos Osorio on the TOYOTA PARK game field. Interested parties should RSVP to Fire Director of Media Relations Daniel Jankowski, at djankowski@chicago-fire.com, by Mon. Sept. 10.
Media members will get a “first team experience” as they convene and dress in a first team locker room at TOYOTA PARK while receiving a pre-game speech from the Fire coaching staff. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. CT; however, participants are encouraged to arrive at 12:30 p.m. The 2007 Media Game will consist of two 25-minute halves with a five-minute break between each half. All participants are encouraged to arrive early for a pre-game warm-up session directed by Fire Strength and Conditioning Coach Kale Hoyt prior to the scrimmage. The Fire will provide participants with a playing shirt, however, media are asked to bring their own playing shoes.

Media members are also invited to watch the last 15 minutes of the Fire’s practice as the team prepares for its match-up against the New York Red Bulls on Saturday, Sept. 15 at TOYOTA PARK (7:30 p.m. CT, Fox Soccer Channel). Media interested in attending the Fire training should plan to arrive at Gate D at 11:15 a.m. CT. Fire players and coaches will be made available after practice.
