RailCats SUSPEND PITCHER BRAD MUMMA FOR REMAINDER OF 2007 SEASON

Gary, Ind.—The Gary SouthShore RailCats Professional Baseball Club today announced that pitcher Brad Mumma has been suspended for the remainder of the 2007 season.  Mumma has been placed on the RailCats inactive list.

 

The suspension of Mumma is a result of conduct detrimental to the club.  The suspension was related to his actions and words in the dugout and clubhouse following his appearance in the game on Sunday. 

 

The RailCats roster is currently at 21 players, one below the league limit.  The RailCats will not be permitted to replace Mumma on the roster due to Northern League rules that required rosters to be frozen on August 7^th.
