RailCats Team Photo RAFFLE GENERATES $1,573 for family of gary police officer killed in the line of duty

Gary, Ind.—The Gary SouthShore RailCats Professional Baseball Club announced today that a raffle of an autographed and framed oversized team photo this past weekend at U. S. Steel Yard generated $1,573 for the family of Gary police officer Benjamin Wilcher, Jr. 

 

Officer Wilcher died at the age of 28 on August 12th as a result of injuries suffered in the line of duty the previous day during a high speed chase.  He is survived by his wife and two young sons.
