Fire Camps and Training Announce Fall Development Schools

Five Chicagoland region locations available for advanced training for children age 9-14

BRIDGEVIEW, IL (Aug. 17, 2007) – Chicago Fire Soccer has announced that Chicago Fire Camps and Training will be conducting its Fall Regional Development Schools (RDS) throughout Chicagoland beginning Tuesday, Sept. 4 through Monday, Oct. 29. Fire Camps and Training will be holding its development schools at the following five locations: Naperville, Ill, Chicago Heights, Ill., Schererville, Ind., Des Plaines, Ill. and Prairie Grove, Ill.

“We are very excited to establish this relationship with our five host locations and we hope that our training programs can be a valuable resource to players and clubs in those areas,” said Regional Development Schools Manager, Brian Roberts.

The school offers players ages 9-14 an opportunity to receive advanced level training from Chicago Fire RDS trainers. Intended solely for competitive and elite travel players, the curriculum is specially-designed to target technical aspects of an individual’s game. The strict coaching ratio of 1:12 allows players to receive excellent individual attention and coach interaction, all leading to a comprehensive electronic evaluation at the end of the course.

Enrollment into this exclusive program is limited and each applicant’s current playing ability will be thoroughly assessed prior to acceptance. This will ensure a high level of competitiveness in each group, and develop a highly challenging environment.

“The vision and commitment of Chicago Fire Camps and Training is to launch comprehensive developmental programs to assist in the process of individual player development,” said Fire Manager of Soccer Partnerships, Paul Cadwell. “The RDS is one component of this overall goal and this initiative will focus on the requirement to accelerate the technical level of play of all it's participants.”
