Evansville, IN - The Otters captured their third victory in a row,
defeating the visiting River City Rascals by the final of 3-1. Ryan
Sickles make his Bosse Field debut a memorable one, driving in the Otters
first two runs of the ballgame on an RBI triple in the bottom of the 2nd
that plated Mike Spry and Ryan Bethel, giving Evansville a 2-0 lead after
two innings. The Rascals closed the game, scoring a run in the top half
of the 3rd, before a two out double by Sickles and an RBI single by Ryan
Rachal pushed the lead back to 3-1 after the 4th. There would be no more
scoring in the contest, as Mark Murray provided three innings of strong
relief, allowing just three hits and striking out two. Murray's effort
allowed Mike Bille to pick up his 13th save of the year. The Otters
return to action tomorrow night in the second game of an eight game home
stand at 7:05.
