Rockford, IL – The Otters offense was shut down tonight by Tanner Watson.
The all-time wins leader in RiverHawk history threw eight innings,
allowing just four hits while striking out 10 as the Otters fell 3-1.
Evansville took the early 1-0 lead in the second inning on three
consecutive hits, but Rockford tied it up midway through the game, and
added two unearned runs in the seventh when the Otters committed two
errors with two outs. Jimmy Conroy pitched well despite picking up his
seventh loss, allowing seven hits in seven innings striking out five.
Evansville is back in action Wednesday night in game two of this three
games set at Road Ranger Stadium.
