Evansville, IN - Despite 13 hits from the Evansville offense, the Otters
dropped the second game of a four game series with the Gateway Grizzlies
9-5. Matt Reynolds led the Evansville hitting barrage going 3 for 4 at
the plate with an RBI, Mike Spry added two hits of his own in four at
bats, scoring two runs and driving in another. JJ Owen also contributed
to the Otters offense, finishing 2 for 5 with a run scored. JC Field
provided two RBIs on a single and a fielder's choice. However, the
Grizzlies smacked three home runs, scored five of their nine runs in the
second innings en route to their 11th win over the Otters. Evansville
will host the Grizzlies once again tomorrow night with game time scheduled
for 7:05.
