JACKHAMMERS AND RAILCATS SUSPENDED IN THE FIFTH INNING

JOLIET, IL-The Joliet JackHammers and Gary SouthShore RailCats battled for four innings until the rains came down at Silver Cross Field and rendered the field un-playable. The JackHammers and RailCats suspended the game at 0-0 in the top of the fifth inning and will make up the game at some point during the RailCats next series at Silver Cross Field Friday, August 17-Sunday, August 19.

The JackHammers want fans to know that their tickets for Sunday’s game can be exchanged at the Silver Cross Field Box Office for tickets to any other 2007 regular season home game for tickets of equal or lesser value based upon availability.

After a day off on Monday, the JackHammers take on the Edmonton Cracker-Cats beginning Tuesday at 6:05 p.m. Josh Regits (0-0, 2.00) will get the ball for the JackHammers against Scott Richmond (9-5, 3.38) for the Cracker-Cats. The first pitch is at 6:05 p.m. and the pre-game show begins at 5:50 p.m. on AM 1340 WJOL and online at www.jackhammerbaseball.com.

It’s Jammer’s Birthday Party! The JackHammers will give away bobble head dolls to the first 1,000 fans through the gates on Tuesday! It’s also Family Night with Kids Running the Bases after the Game! Children that participated in the Jammer’s Book Buddies Program get the opportunity to exchange their vouchers for tickets to Tuesday’s game!
