Gary, Ind.—The Gary SouthShore RailCats Professional Baseball Club will be hosting the Principal Financial Group Family Fun Fest at U.S. Steel Yard on Friday, July 20th when the Gary SouthShore RailCats take on the Joliet JackHammers. 

 

Created and produced by Entertainment & Sports International (ESI), the 4000 square foot Principal Financial Group Family Fun Fest will be set-up just outside the main gates and will begin at 4:00 PM. 

 

ESI's Principal Financial Group Family Fun Fest is an unprecedented and completely free celebration of baseball which will be visiting 57 different minor league baseball ballparks during the 2007 season.  It is the most extensive traveling baseball festival in history and features more than 20 baseball themed attractions including a minor league baseball museum, the Xbox 360 Home Run Derby video game trailer, and a fan festival midway with batting and pitching cages, bungee runs, a huge side-by-side giant slide, baseball bounce houses, and lots more interactive fun for baseball fans of all ages.  Wrigley's is bringing a Big League Chew baseball card attraction where fans can step up to the plate and have their picture taken on their very own baseball card.  There is also an exhibit where fans can put themselves on a free souvenir cover of LIFE Magazine.
