Winnipeg, Manitoba—Antoin Gray drilled a game-winning two-run home run with one out in the bottom of the 10^th inning as the Winnipeg Goldeyes continued their home field dominance over the Gary SouthShore RailCats on Sunday, defeating the RailCats 6-4. It was the 14^th consecutive win for Winnipeg over Gary at CanWest Global Park in a streak that dates back to August of 2003.

The RailCats took a 4-3 lead to the bottom of the ninth inning, only to see the Goldeyes take advantage of a Gary error that allowed an unearned run to score to tie the game.

The RailCats got the scoring started in the first inning when Eric McNamee hit the first pitch of the game for a single to left and went to second on a walk to Jermaine Allensworth. With two outs, Jose Yepez double to left-center field, driving in both McNamee and Allensworth to make it 2-0.

Winnipeg got on the board in the bottom of the first when Fehlandt Lentini walked, stole second, went to third on a ground out, and scored on a base hit to center by Scott Schade that glanced off the glove of center fielder Mike Reese.

Gary got back on the board in the third. Jay Pecci reached on a two-base throwing error by third baseman Brent Metheny, went to third on a wild pitch, and scored on Allensworth's sacrifice fly. Steve Haake followed with a walk, stole second, and scored on Yepez's double to left to make it 4-1.

After the RailCats completed their at bat in the top of the fifth, heavy rain and lightning caused a stoppage of play. The game was delayed one hour and 47 minutes. When it resumed, Steve Edsall replaced Willie Glen on the mound for the RailCats and allowed two runs in the bottom of the fifth, issuing two walks and a hit batsman in the inning as the Goldeyes pulled to within a run at 4-3.

The RailCats loaded the bases with one out in the eighth but came away empty when Eric Blakeley grounded to first and the lead runner was thrown out at the plate. On the same play, Tanner Townsend over-ran third base after the force play at the plate and was tagged out to end the threat.

RailCats closer Tony Cogan came on to start the bottom of the ninth, leading 4-3, and gave up a double to left on the first pitch to Luis Alen. Max Poulin's sacrifice bunt moved Poulin to third. Fehlandt Lentini hit a one-hopper to first as Alen held at third, but the ball was mishandled by David Detienne and rolled away, allowing Alen to come in to score the tying run.

Cogan hit Walter Young with a pitch with one out in the bottom of the 10^th and then fell behind Gray 3-1 before Gray ended the game with a drive over the left field fence, his sixth home run of the year.

The RailCats finished with a season-low four hits. Yepez went 3 for 5 with three runs batted in.

The RailCats will play at Winnipeg on Monday at 7:00 p.m. Josh Habel (6-3, 4.06) will start for Gary against Winnipeg's Brett Lawson (4-1, 2.68). They RailCats return home on Wednesday, July 4^th to host Fargo-Moorhead in the start to a five game set that will conclude the first half in the Northern League's split-season format.

Notes: RailCats relief pitcher Chad Blackwell was named Northern League Pitcher of the Month for June. He went 2-0 with a 0.46 earned run average in the month, allowing just one run.
