GRIZZLIES WIN 10TH IN A ROW
 
The Gateway Grizzlies won their 10th game in a row Saturday night, defeating the Windy City ThunderBolts 5-3 in front of 2,108 at Hawk Ford Field in Crestwood, IL.  The Grizzlies are now tied with Windy City for the best record in the league at 34-10.
 
The Grizzlies broke a 3-3 tie in the seventh inning when Charlie Lisk and Jonathan Armitage each homered to put the Grizzlies up for good.  Lisk finished 2-4 against his former team.
 
The Grizzlies took the lead initally when Mike Breyman scored in the first inning on an error.  Windy City also got an unearned first inning run to even the score at 1.
 
Ryan Saltzgaber picked up his first career RBI with a sacrifice fly in the second to put the Grizzlies up 2-1.  The fly scored Ryan Sullivan who had doubled.  Sullivan was 2-4.  Saltzgaber would make it 3-1 Grizzlies in the fourth inning.  He singled to drive home Sullivan.  Saltzgaber finished the night 1-4 with the two RBIs.
 
Windy City tied the score at three when the got two in the sixth off of Grizzlies starter Chris Little. 
 
Little (4-2) went 7.1 innings in the start.  He allowed three runs, two earned, on four hits.  He walked one and tied a career high with six strikeouts.  Eric Ridener struck out the side in the nint to earn his league-leading 13th save of the season.  James Hertel also contributed two outs in the winning effort.
 
The Grizzlies and ThunderBolts will play the second game of the three-game series Sunday afternoon.  Game time is 3:05 p.m. in Crestwood, IL.
