GRIZZLIES DROP FOURTH IN A ROW
 
The Florence Freedom banged out 21 hits Monday night en route to a 15-3 defeat of the Gateway Grizzlies in front of 5,487 at GCS Ballpark. The loss is the Grizzlies fourth straight.  It is the third time this year they have lost four in a row.
 
The Grizzlies (42-20) trailed 1-0 when Mike Breyman singled to the right field corner in the third inning.  The hit scored Ryan Sullivan and Jeff Vincent and gave the Grizzlies their only lead of the night at 2-1.  It would be short lived.  Breyman was 2-4 with the pair of RBIs.
 
Florence tied the game with a run in the fourth.  They added two in the fifth and led 4-2.
 
The Freedom (33-30) broke the game open in the sixth inning, scoring nine times on five hits off of Grizzlies starter Toro Trevino and reliever Dave Wasylak.  Trevino (8-3) suffered the loss.  He last 5.1 innings.  He gave up eight runs, seven  earned, on 10 hits.  Wasylak surrendered five runs in just 2/3 of an inning.
 
Ryan Sullivan pitched the last three innings for the Grizzlies.  The infielder, turned reliever, allowed two runs on eight hits.  He struck out one.  He was also 1-3 at the plate and scored a run.
 
Eric Beck homered in the ninth for the Grizzlies.  He was 1-3.  Jeff Vincent had two hits for the Grizzlies.  He was 2-4.
 
The Grizzlies and the Freedom will continue the series with a 7:05 game Tuesday night at GCS Ballpark.  With a crowd of more than 4,242 Tuesday night the Grizzlies will eclipse the 1,000,000 mark in total attendance for their history.
