Evansville, IN – The Otters beat the Paints today to win the series, their
first series win since sweeping Slippery Rock back on the 21st of June.
Evansville got a great start from Jake Haggerty, who went seven innings,
allowed one unearned run on just three hits, while striking out five.
Daniel Burton hit a solo homerun to tie the game at one in the fourth.
Evansville would add one more in that frame, and three more in the
seventh, the big hit off the bat of Justin Carr who dropped a two-run
double down the third base line. The Otters are off for the next three
days for the All-Star break, before returning to action Friday in
Chillicothe.
