Evansville, IN – Evansville got a great pitching performance from Jimmy
Conroy, throwing seven innings, allowing two earned runs on eight hits
with three strikeouts. The offense backed him up. Mike Spry finished 2-4
with his fourth homer in six games. Evansville plated two runs in the
seventh on RBIs by Justin Carr and Ryan Bethel. Mike Bille finished the
game, allowed one run to make it close, but picked up his 10th save of the
season, and 30th of his Evansville career. The Otters improve to 23-29 as
they head out on a four game road trip against division opponents River
City and Gateway.
