Chillicothe, OH – The Otters saw their early one-run lead slip away from
them as a two-run homer fell below the scoreboard but they battled back in
a hurry, getting back-to-back homers from Kasey Wahl and Mike Spry to
retake the lead in the fourth, and win it 6-2. Jake Haggerty pitched six
strong innings, allowing two runs, and the bullpen allowed just one hit
the rest of the way for the first win of the second half for the Otters.
Justin Carr had a three-for-four day at the plate as well as Evansville
knocked out 11 hits on the night. The Otters return home for a three game
set against Florence starting tomorrow night at 7:05 at Bosse Field.
