Gary, Ind.—The Gary SouthShore RailCats Professional Baseball Club has been selected "Best Local Spectator Sport" for the fourth straight year by Northwest Indiana Business Quarterly. The selection is based on a survey of the publication's readers.
The RailCats are a Professional Minor League Baseball Team serving Northwest Indiana and Chicago's south suburbs. Their 96 game schedule includes 47 home games at beautiful U. S. Steel Yard, a 6,000 seat state-of-the-art facility located next to the Indiana Toll Road (I-90) with easy access to I-65.
The RailCats, in first place with a 21-8 record, are currently on a 14 game road trip. They return to Northwest Indiana on July 4th against the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks. The RailCats biggest fireworks show of the year will follow the game, courtesy of Krazy Kaplans.
