The Asthma Awareness Night will serve to increase the public's awareness of air quality related respiratory problems, further educate parents and children on the value of proper medical treatment for asthma, and demonstrate the connection between regional air quality and asthma.
The game between the RailCats and the Schaumburg Flyers will start at 7:00 p.m. Before the game, the Partners for Clean Air members will have informational booths set-up providing air quality protection information, asthma health materials, and Partners for Clean Air membership brochures. Prior to the game, area high school athletes will compete in a Home Run Derby with prizes donated by US Steel Gary Works.
