RailCats Sign Pitcher Logan McElwain

Gary, Ind.—The Gary SouthShore RailCats Professional Baseball Club announced today that pitcher Logan McElwain has been signed as a free agent.  McElwain fills an open spot on the 22-man roster that was created when Steve Edsall was placed on the disabled list. 

McElwain (pronounced MACK-ul-wayne) spent last season with the Kansas City T-Bones in the Northern League.  He pitched in 27 games out of the bullpen, posting a 2-3 record with a 3.06 earned run average.

He completed his college career at Division II Rockhurst College in 2006 by earning ABCA 3^rd Team All-American honors, going 7-2 with a 1.08 ERA and 10 saves.
