Bluefish Edge Road Warriors

Matt Perisho picks up his first win of the season and Eddy Ramos records his sixth save as the Bluefish double up the Road Warriors 2-1.
Junior Spivey broke the 0-0 tie in the bottom of the third with a one out sac-fly to right scoring Shaun Boyd. The Road Warriors battled back to tie the game at one in the top of the sixth on a sac-fly to center by Jason Bryan that scored David Housel.
The 'Fish were able to regain the lead in the bottom of the seventh on a RBI single up the middle by Quinton McCracken that drove in Shaun Boyd yet again. This run proved enough to defeat the Warriors, as both Perez and Ramos did not allow one hit through an inning each.
Boyd finished the night with two runs and three hits. However the story of the night belongs to Angel Espada as he goes two-for-five and finds himself only one hit shy of his 1,000th career hit.
The Fish look to sweep the Road Warriors Sunday afternoon at 2:05 PM. Remember tomorrow is family day, six flags day, and also hosts the Looney Tunes Characters, along with on-field player autographs after the game. The Bluefish will then host the archrival Long Island Ducks on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in a battle for first place of the North Division.
