Edmonton, Alberta—Nate Price collected three hits and drove in two runs to lead the Gary SouthShore RailCats to their fourth consecutive win on Sunday as the RailCats defeated the Edmonton Cracker-Cats 10-6. The RailCats have won the first three games of the series and will try for a sweep of the four game set on Monday night. They are 8-2 on the season.

After Edmonton scored a single run in the second, the RailCats took the lead for good in the third. Price singled with one out, went to second on Dale Mueller's sacrifice, stole third, and scored on the same play on a throwing error by catcher Adam Shorsher. Jermaine Allensworth's two-out single later in the inning brought in Eric McNamee from second to give Gary a 2-1 lead.

Price led off the Gary fifth with a double to right. Mueller sacrificed Price to third and with two outs, Jay Pecci singled to left to bring in Price and make it 3-1.

In the sixth, Price, who began the day with just one hit in 21 at bats on the season, delivered a two-out, two-run single to right to extend the RailCats lead to 5-1.

David Detienne's two-out RBI hit in the seventh made it 6-1, and the RailCats added four more in the eighth, keyed by a three-run triple by Steve Haake, to make it 10-1.

Edmonton rallied for five runs in the bottom of the ninth against RailCats relievers Steve Edsall and Chad Blackwell before the RailCats held on for the win.

Gary finished with 14 hits after collecting 16 on Saturday night. Haake and Pecci joined Price with three hits.

RailCats starting pitcher Josh Habel (1-2) earned his first win of the season, going six and two-thirds innings, allowing four hits and one run with one walk and three strikeouts.

Game four of the series will be played Monday at 8:11 p.m. (CDT). Jim Paduch (1-0, 1.00) will start for Gary against Edmonton's Scott Richmond (1-0, 1.38). The RailCats will play at Calgary Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday before returning home to host Edmonton on Friday night at the Steel Yard.

Notes: Edsall left the game in the ninth inning after being struck in the hand by a line drive off the bat of Rob Webster. The initial report indicated that Edsall suffered a dislocated finger. He is expected to visit the Edmonton team doctor on Monday…The RailCats are 16-2 over their last 18 regular season games dating back to 2006.
